The Client: La Mariee Boutique
La Mariée Boutique is an appointment-only bridal boutique in Tulsa, Oklahoma, carrying designer bridal gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and wedding-day accessories, with a service area extending to Broken Arrow, Edmond, Norman, and Stillwater.
The brief was straightforward: grow the number of visitors booking a fitting appointment through the website.
Like most appointment-only boutiques, La Mariée doesn't run a centralized system logging every booking back to the marketing channel that produced it — so rather than chase a single "conversions" number, we tracked what we can verify directly: organic search visibility, keyword rankings, and Google Business Profile actions (calls and direction requests) that reliably precede a booked appointment.
At the start of the engagement, the website's traffic was heavily paid-search-dependent — 63% of new users in the baseline month came from Google Ads, landing directly on the booking page.
Twelve months later, organic search is the largest single traffic source.
That shift is the core of this case study, and it came with a real trade-off in total volume that we lay out plainly below.
01: The Challenge
A website that only showed up when Google Ads paid for it.
The baseline month told a clear story: nearly two-thirds of new users came from a single paid channel, organic visibility sat at 1.86%, and not one tracked keyword ranked in the Top 3.
Paid-dependent traffic
63% of new users came from Google Ads in the baseline month, versus 11% from organic search — a business that disappears the moment ad spend stops.
Almost no non-branded visibility
Zero keywords ranked in the Top 3, and only 6 of roughly 74 tracked keywords ranked in the Top 10 — the generic "wedding dresses near me" searches a bride runs before she's heard of any specific store.
No centralized booking-attribution system
La Mariée doesn't track an exact count of appointments booked, so "more bookings" needed a proxy — the channels that reliably precede one.
A four-city service area, one showroom
Broken Arrow, Edmond, Norman, and Stillwater each represent real local demand that a single physical location doesn't automatically capture.
02: Our Strategy
The goal wasn't just "more traffic" — it was traffic that shows up without paying for every click.
Editorial content for the research phase
Durable guide content around the real questions brides search — necklines, hairstyles, accessories, dress terminology — rather than more product pages.
City-specific local pages and keyword targeting
Dedicated local optimization for each of the four service-area cities, and a deliberate push on the local, high-intent, lower-competition terms a national bridal chain won't bother ranking for.
Google Business Profile tuned for appointments
A website click isn't the finish line for an appointment-only business — the profile was optimized around calls and direction requests, the two actions that actually precede a booking.
03: The Execution
Started April 2025, ongoing today. Every number in this case study is pulled directly from the client's own GA4, Semrush Position Tracking, and Google Business Profile exports — nothing here is estimated.

The results, straight from the source data.
Every figure below is pulled directly from La Mariée's Semrush Position Tracking, GA4, and Google Business Profile exports — the Apr'25 baseline reports vs. the Mar'26 current reports for search data, and a pre-engagement average vs. a recent 6-month average for GBP data.
1.86→9.50%
Organic search visibility
More than 5× growth. Keywords ranking in the Top 3 went from 0 to 7; Top 10 from 6 to 19; Top 20 from 9 to 28 — consistent movement across every tier, not one metric in isolation.
#35→#4
plus size wedding dresses tulsa ok
One of several local, high-intent keywords that moved from off the first page entirely to the top of it. "mother of the bride dresses tulsa ok" moved #25→#11 over the same period.
+70%
Google Business Profile calls
Monthly average calls grew from 34 to 58, comparing the four months before the engagement to the six most recent months on file.
